Red Sox @ Rangers (May 25th-27th)

    Game 1 Recap
Matsuzaka made his first career start at the Ballpark at Arlington, and it was less than stellar on his part. The Rangers roughed him up for 5 runs on 7 hits over 5 innings, although he did strike out 6 Ranger batters. Texas also hit 2 homeruns off of him courtesy of Frank Catalanotto and Ramon Vazquez.

Brandon McCarthy started for the Rangers and finished with a very unusual stat line:

    2 IP - 1 H - 4 R - 4 ER - 4 BB - 1 K

All 4 runs came in the 2nd inning putting the Red Sox up 4-0. The Rangers rallied against Daisuke scoring all 5 runs against him in the 4th inning to take a 5-4 lead. The Red Sox struck back against Wes Littleton in the 6th scoring 2 runs to retake the lead 6-5. The Sox added 4 more runs in the 6th, all coming off Frankie Francisco, to make it a 10-5 game. The Rangers managed just 1 more run to make it a 10-6 game and went on to lose by that score.

Kenny Lofton stole his team leading 16th base of the season, and Michael Young hit his 15th double putting him on pace for 51 doubles this season despite a .245 batting average.

You may have noticed that I haven't updated this thread the last couple of days.
Well, I am getting disgruntled with this team. Besides Sammy's opening game homerun, there was little to shout about as the Rangers were swept dropping the last 2 games 7-4 and 6-5. Maybe things can turn around against Oakland now. Yeah, sure.
