DeRosa is now 3 for 3 with 5 RBI, and it's only the 3rd inning.

    Matt Stairs singles to right.
    Runner on 1st, 2 out.

Kinsler, who like Teixeira had walked in his first 2 AB's, grounds out.

Inning over but the Rangers added 2 more runs thanks to Carlos Lee's 30th homerun and Mark DeRosa's 12th.

On a side note, DeRosa is now batting .475 with 5 homers and 19 RBI in just 40 AB's in August.

I wouldn't be at all surprised. He had 7 homers and 25 RBI in 27 games coming into todays game. Now it's 8 homers, 30 RBI in 27 1/2 games. Who knows what he'll do in the rest of the game.

In this game that was definately true, for both sides.
Lets see just how bad the Seattle pitching did, shall we?
    Meche: 1 IP - 2 H - 9 R - 4 ER - 6 BB - 0 K
    Woods: 3.2 IP - 9 H - 4 R - 4 ER - 2 BB - 2 K - 2 HRA

Kip Wells didn't exactly get the job done either though allowing 5 runs on 8 hits in 3 innings.

At least the right team won.

    8/11 Game Recap
The Rangers jumped out to huge early lead in last night's game scoring 7 runs off Gil Meche in the 1st inning. Texas added 3 more in the 2nd, 2 of those went on the record of Meche who allowed 9 runs on 2 hits and 6 walks in 1+ inning of work. Jake Woods relieved Meche and gave up 3rd inning homeruns to Carlos Lee (his 30th of the year and 2nd as a Ranger) and Mark DeRosa (hit 12th of the year). Gary Matthews Jr. homered in the 4th, also off Woods, to give Texas a 13-7. It was 13-1 Texas until Kip Wells got hammered in the 4th when Seattle scored 6 runs.

Matthews went 3 for 4 with 2 walks, 2 runs scored, 3 RBI and hit his 13th homerun of the season.
Carlos Lee's only hit of the game was his 30th homerun of the year, he also scored 2 runs.
Mark Teixeira only had 1 hit but walked twice and scored 3 runs.
Mark DeRosa was the big guy again going 3 for 4 with 3 runs scored, 6 RBI and hitting his 12th homerun of the year.
Wes Littleton pitched 2 scoreless innings of work for the win improving to 2-0 this year and lowering his ERA to 0.52.

The Rangers have now won 3 straight games, are now over .500 for the season, are half way to the sweep of the Mariners, but remain 5 games out of first after an Oakland win.

My buddy called me after the 4th inning and I ended up going to the game with him we have press box seats so its all good, got pretty hammered.

Nice win and another amazing game be DeRo the guy is a stud! hes what 31 and was considered crap everywhere he's played. This guy is a keeper, wonder who turned him into GOLD! Not the best start for Kipper he didnt look completely healthy though so it will be interesting to see what happens with that.
