    Yankees @ Rays 7/30-8/1

    Probables
    Hughes VS Davis

    Vazquez VS Garza

    Sabathia VS Shields

The two best records in the Majors go head to head this weekend. Rays are without Zobrist and Upton. (Though reports say BJ might be back Sat.)

Garza and the Rays coming off a high of a no-hitter and a sweep, taking 6 in a row and 8 out their last 10.

ARod in the quest for 600 and the Yanks have won 7 out of their last 10. Both teams have won their last 2 series. In the last series against the Rays in NY, Yanks came out on top.

This series is completely sold out, first time in Rays history of 3 consecutive sell outs. The crowd should be about half and half between the Rays supporters and NY/NJ transplants.

    Let’s do the WAVE!!!!!!!!!

Didn't the Tampa/St. Pete natives all used to be Yankee fans before the Devil Rays were enfranchised?

No, just the snow birds and transplants, the long time residents and natives mostly followed the Braves before BBall came our way.

I stand corrected. I assumed they followed the Yankees since Tampa has long been their spring training site.

Yanks fans can afford to travel here for ST, still pretty easy to get tickets for the Tampa Yankees, unless a guy from the big team is rehabbing. The Phillies train in Clearwater and Jays in Dunedin only 30-40 minutes from Steinbrenner/Legends Field.

Tough loss. Hughes pitched well except for a few batters and Joyce made him pay. Silver lining for me is to see Hughes pitching well because he'd been shaky recently.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.
