Gomes is a beast

Jonny Gomes blasted a solo homer off Rangers starter John Koronka on Sunday.
He also singled, raising his batting average to .302. We don't think it will remain quite that high all season, but maybe he's ready to outperform our projection of around .260. The homer was his ninth of the season, tying him for the AL lead with Chris Shelton and Jim Thome.

This guy was a hero for my fantasy team last year, but damn, he's hitting HRs with the best of them so far. Him and Wigginton have been the two big bright spots for this team so far. He killed some pitches off of the Sox too
