Rays Second Baseman Suffers Ankle Injury

Jorge Cantu left Friday's game in the fifth inning with an apparent left ankle injury.
Maybe the Rays were smart to keep two reserve middle infielders after all, though Ty Wigginton could have served as the backup at second base. Instead, Tomas Perez took over at the position tonigh

That really sucks. I mean, not only for my fantasy team where I rely on Cantu, as he had an awesome 2005. But really, the Devil Rays can't afford any real losses if they want to be a major pain in the ass, Cantu's injury just turns a plus into a minus.

Luckily for both of us, he's back. Time to alter my lineup.

Jorge Cantu returned to action as a pinch-hitter on Monday night and lined out.
Cantu, who has missed three starts with a bruised foot, should play on Tuesday, manager Joe Maddon said.

3 days with a bruised right angle, and he came back as a pinch hitter? Hmm...I have a feeling he's being rushed back. Anybody else thing this injury may linger on all season? Yah, it's just a bruise, but it could irritate him for awhile.

Finally, a player playing hurt. Its good to see people actually want to play, win and earn their paycheck unlike a lot of others.

Well nobody cares about Giles, ya know.

Nobody cares about your shoddy team either, so don't act all high-and-mighty.

I'm talking about the Tigers. The Yanks we can both agree to not talk about in this discussion

Did I bring up the Tigers in this thread, nope. That's right, Braves suck.
