I know... this has been rough over all these seasons... this division is murder... and last year showed it when I did not make it to the playoffs with Baltimore even though I had ore wins than ones who won the other divisions...Originally Posted by albbla2000mu
Hard to tell what can happen in the AL east.. I could win 99 and still miss the playoffs...

I feel good.
The Dodgers will hopefully produce another top prospect for me. I need a catcher badly.

I'll take that as a challenge. Consider the battle for last place ON LIKE DONKEY KONG.Originally Posted by Stonedrie2

Do I have to post a thread like everyone else is posting? I don't know if they are mandatory or not. Still a newbie here.
S3SL: Cincinnati Reds GM 2014-present
TSSL: Oakland A's GM 2006-present
TPSL: San Francisco Baseball Giants 2007-present
AL East:
Baltimore- Francisco Liriano is a good enough replacement for Jerome Williams
New York(WC)- Trading for Jerome Williams and Jose Muecke bolsters Yankees' pitching staff
Boston - will hold a firesale for a legit reasons after falling out of contention
Toronto - Hage and Coyle will either be studs or piss off GM Halladay even more
Tampa Bay - Can their pitching be even worse? With career minor leaguer Gerardo Garcia as the No. 5 starter, yes it will be.
AL Central:
Chicago - Ian Stewart covers the loss of Garner
Detroit - Doesn't help that Choo and Belisle are on the block for cheaper replacements
Minnesota - Never seems to be their year to make a run
Cleveland - A firesale of their AARP-eligible players is likely to happen
Kansas City - KC takes a backseat for the SBSL Cards GM
AL West:
Anaheim - Lost Fischer, Torres, and Muecke, but Camden and Michel provide trade fodder
Texas - will go as far as their pitching takes them; Prior has been a bust
Seattle - M's haven't won the division since '07
Oakland - Expect more high-priced players to be placed on the trade block.
NL East :
Florida - Shipman is the new face of the Marlins
Atlanta (WC)- Can Perf follow the same success as Phil Garner? Acquiring Joe Torres is a start.
New York - Mets would've had a winning record had the lineup been filled earlier in the season.
Philadelphia - The pessimistic GM won't have much to bring his hopes up besides Wily Mo.
Washington - Another new GM who is looking to trade vets for prospects. *Yawn*
NL Central:
St Louis - Danks and Halsey shuts down hitters, Reyes provides the overkill
Pittsburgh - Most of the former NL Champs are on block. Jerry Krause must be running the show.
Milwaukee - Nicanor Razo is good enough to save the Brewers
Chicago - Will Josh Hamilton stay or go?
Cincinnati - Impending free agent slugger Andre Willard will soon be on the trade block
Houston - Only Tampa Bay produces 20 game losing pitchers
NL West:
Colorado - Still heads above the rest
San Diego - Hard luck Padres must recuperate the loss of their ace for the rest of the season
San Francisco - A repeat of .500 record is about right
Arizona - cleaned out the garbage; now rebuilding on the cheap; expect more rants about the offense
Los Angeles - Throwing the season in hopes of landing more aces than a standard deck of cards
AL Playoffs:
Rd 1
Baltimore over Anaheim
Chicago over New York
Rd 2
Baltimore over Chicago
NL Playoffs:
Rd 1
Colorado over Atlanta
Florida over St. Louis
Rd 2
Colorado over Florida
World Series:
Colorado over Baltimore
Come on, I'm not throwing the season. My team just sucks worse than yours.

One-Time TBL Champ
Baltimore Orioles (2018)
Three-Time S3SL Champ
Pittsburgh Pirates Detroit Tigers St. Louis Cardinals
2012 B/S Keeper League Champ - Boston Terror
Can't wait til this optimistic GM proves you all wrong by beating everyone oppositely.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
I was going to end the streak of division crowns for Colorado this year until f*ckin Sarabia went down for the year. Damn me.
I do take credit for altering at least two races.
Mark my words... Williams is not the same as when he won the Cy Young 2 years ago... I didn't just trade him to ease the team salary...
What is strange is he went down in ratings a bit at the end of last season, and he went UP .5 stars....![]()
