Wow, I have money to spend for free agency!...unfortunately it's not much, and I need a lot
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

By my numbers, you have 40 million for FA. Will that buy 3 starters and a bullpen?

FYI guys, this year's FA class is the class of slackers. Several guys, some closer than others, with potential to be pretty good but with ratings not quite there yet. There are some good opportunities for a team who is rebuilding to risk signing one of them, playing them and hoping for development.

I am going to get the last piece or two needed to win a championship. Should have one it all last season. One more run and I have no choice but to rebuild.

This free agent class intrigues the Dodgers, who have $76+ million to spend.

I like how people have however much to spend on free agents, when we have a 40 million cap anyway.

Dunno what it is going to take.... but it will certainly take at least 2 years to dismantle all but the young guys and build up the farm

I've decided against any major limitations on offers other than all teams are limited to a max of 40 million dollars of offers being on the table.

You can spend more than 40 mill as long as its not all on the table at once. I think you forget that part of the rule.

What? No, that's what is meant by it. You missed the part right below it.

And if you offered player x 10 million to lower your available total to 30 million, if he signed elsewhere you can offer that 10 million again to someone else, but if he signed with you your total left to offer is 30 million.

You won't be spending $50 million this season in my league.

(Not trying to be a dick, but I don't want you guys confusing everyone else.)

    Re: 2027-2028 Offseason Random Ramblings

No worries. I just could see that been a potential problem if people mis-understood (ie offering more than they could, me catching it and only entering X amount of their Y offers.)
