    Wainwright Is All Right

    Cardinals signed RHP Adam Wainwright to a four-year contract with a club option for 2012 and 2013.
    The guaranteed seasons take him through arbitration. The two option years apparently would have to be exercised at once and would cover his first years of free agency. Wainwright is believed to be guarateed $15 million.
    Great job by the Cards protected their new ace now that Carpenter's down and no telling if he comes back strong. Wainwright has some nasty stuff and is a really good pitcher. He is beloved by St. Louis. Now if they only got some good pitchers to surround him with instead of Lohse.

    Hell yes he's worth $3.5 mil/yr!! Lohse is making $4.2 mil!!!
