    Tomo Ohka

The Cardinals have reportedly signed Tomo Ohka to a minor league contract.
Ohka has pitched just twice in a month, so he'll go to Triple-A Memphis to make a couple of starts before presumably joining the St. Louis rotation. If the Cardinals opt not to promote him, he could opt for free agency in 10 days
Percival and now Ohka. Come to St. Louis, injured are welsome

Ohka has the potential to give the Cards some quality starts. I mean, if the Cards are willing to take Kip Wells, then why not Ohka. If he has control/command of his pitches, he can give a team some quality starts!! The Cards are hurting very badly right now and really need some help some where. Carpenter, Edmonds, Looper, and Eckstein are all on the DL and Reyes was optioned to AAA. Some mighty fine talent the Cards have hurting right now.

With Looper on the DL, this is definately the right move for both sides. Ohka is a better bet than Wells or Thompson in the rotation, at this point, and Ohka can get out of the contract after 2 starts if they don't use him.

    Good move.

Ohka isn't always terrible, I'm surprised nobody at least took a flyer on him until now...solid move by the Cardinals.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

speaking from experiance as a Brewers fan, and Ohka being an ex-Brewer, when he is on, he is good, when is not, he gets shelled!!

    Re: Tomo Ohka

Making his second start for Triple-A Memphis, Tomo Ohka gave up four runs -- three earned -- in eight innings on Monday.
The Cardinals may have to decide this weekend whether to put Ohka into their rotation or let him walk. He should prove to be a modest upgrade if given the chance.
Let him walk. Just got Maroth and Looper and Carpenter will be back.
