Mets Worst Player in ML History...

Super Joe McEwing! This guy is so bad, he redefined the word. A career .253 hitter, which isn't bad...considering the fact he couldn't run the bases. Okay, maybe he hit HRs..nope. Played 664 games..hit 10, that's right, count them all, TEN HOMERUNS! Maybe he was fast? Nope, 29 stolen bases in those 664 games. That he played every position was a plus. However, he played every position equally bad. 1st base, Center Field, Short Stop..you name it, Joe sucked at it. Career FP: .979, and this is for a guy who played half of his games in the OUTFIELD! Well, you can say one thing about him: when it came to playoff time, he was clutch. A career .500 hitter in the playoffs, with an amazing TWO at bats! Wow...did someone say Mr. October? He's goint to the Hall alright..the hall of SHAME. Shame on every ML GM for keeping him around more than 1 year. It took this long for KC to realize that he wa terrible...he can't break the Mendoza line in AAA ball. The guy's benched in AAA! Good. Rep to whoever benched him. Super Joe has left the building.

    Mets released infielder-outfielder Joe McEwing.
The end of an era. Everyone's favorite fantasy baseball punchline is without a home. The Cardinals reportedly were interested in trading for McEwing earlier this month, so they could provide a landing spot.

Felix Heredia can pitch...just not in NY. He at least can pitch in AAA...Super Joe has a .198 BA in AAA.

And this is a thread dedicated solely to Super Joe. Comment on his illustrious career if you wish.

Besides, Olivo is a catcher. Catchers don't normally produce a lot of offense. This guy can't get on base (2B), can't swipe bags (SS), can't hit HRs (1B), can't play defense (3B), can't do any of them.
