Major League Baseball is reviewing Bobby Jenks' admission that he threw behind the Rangers' Ian Kinsler on Saturday night.
Jenks admitted to throwing behind Kinsler, but never said anything about trying to make contact. That small loophole could keep him out of trouble. "I'll not do it (throw behind a batter) again, but if there's something on my mind, yeah, I'll say it," said Jenks, who hadn't been contacted by MLB as of Monday. "But again, I wasn't trying to hit him. If they'll investigate that, they'll see that. It wasn't a dirty pitch. It wasn't up. It was right at his butt. That's all I can say."

There has been a lot of debate about this on ESPN and I think it is 100% bullshit!! What the **** is the big problem here? A reporter asked Jenks a question and Jenks gave an honest answer unlike most and now he could get punished for it? Jenks was not thrown out of a game and didn't even hit someone! This is complete hypocrisy on baseball part. They say they honor the unwritten rules of the game and now they could possibly fine or suspend Jenks for acknowledging them and executing them? This man did nothing wrong! He was protecting his hitters and sent a message loud and clear. Then he told the truth about it. He didn't go head hunting and did everything the right way. MLB just leave this guy alone! Heaven forbid an athlete give an honest answer to a question. Maybe Manny and Arod could learn something from Bobby Jenks.

you mean drill the guy, plunking to me is hitting someone with a breaking ball or a ball that grazes someone...both resulting in hitting the player, but probably not even leaving a bruise. drilling would be harder like with a fastball or a cutter and would likely send the message he would have been trying to since he said he thought Millwood was hitting their players / trying to injure them.

Yes, you read that correctly. Major League Baseball fined him $750, with one zero. Jenks was a bit upset when he initially learned that MLB was investigating his actions. "I wasn't trying to hit him," he said Tuesday. "If they'll investigate that, they'll see that. It wasn't a dirty pitch. It wasn't up. It was right at his butt. That's all I can say." He may have appealed if the fine wasn't such a joke.
