The reason they arent winning cause they have a bunch of long relievers in the rotation right now. You would think the starters would go longer but when Mateo goes longer than Moyer, Pineiro, Franklin. Its pretty damn sad.

NEXT GAME: The Rainiers host Memphis on Monday at 6:05 pm (Pacific). Felix Hernandez starts for Tacoma against Kevin Jarvis. To listen to the game live on the internet, click the link in the column to the left. Join Mike Curto as he returns for his 7th season of broadcasting the Rainiers.
I thought he was going to miss a start, but I guess not.

    Hot Damn.

I know we want him in Tacoma as long as possible, but Felix is making things hard.

    7 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 9 K's, 2 BB'S.

Sick. His ERA is down to 2.63. Is this kid human?

Lopez and Snelling both are still missing from the lineup though.

    Phenom is Phenominal Again

    Full Story

"Everything is plus," said Terveen of the arsenal Hernandez takes to the hill every time out. "It's fun catching him, ya know, it's like playing Nintendo. If you look at the amount of curveballs he throws and when people take them, it's unbelievable, they (hitters) don't even have a chance. He had a good night, again."

Serious question, what does Felix have to gain by staying in Tacoma any longer? He has developed all of his pitches to where they need to be and he is just dominating these AAA hitters. People will say he isn't 'ready'. What is 'ready' then? Is he going to come up and have a 2.50 ERA? Probably not. But does anyone doubt that he has a sub-4.00 ERA? If you do then you are stupid. If he turns in 3 or 4 more starts like the last one then I say bring him up. But thats JMO.

I think seriously they need to call him up now, Ervin Santana, Tim Stauffer, Ezikel Astacio are up. Hes had better #'s than the 3 of them. Every time we keep a SP down, they get hurt. Have they gotten a clue yet.

I'm listening to the game on the radio now. I'll post some updates of how Felix is doing. Tacoma hitters are already getting to Cain early, bases are loaded.

Perfect 1st for Felix. Some decent contact from the first two Fresno hitters though. Felix K'd the 3rd guy though.

They just said that Lopez comes off the DL next week probably. Good to hear.

Felix is cruising. A little trouble in the 2nd, but he gets through the inning. Felix has allowed one hit and no runs through 2 innings. He has struck out three. He has hit 96.

Morse makes a great play to get the double play to end the 3rd when Fresno was threatning. Sort of lost track at the beginning of the inning, don't know if Felix struck the first guy out. He has 3 BB's though so control has been an issue for both him and Cain today.
