I like Sexson, but he needed a change of scenery. Someone will ink him.

Needed a change of scenery? What he needs is bat speed.

I think the attack on a Texas pitcher much says it all.

    Re: Sexson released

Looks like shoulder surgery didn't do the trick for Sexson. The Giants should give him a shot since he won't cost anything. Sexson and Bowker make a good lefty/righty tandem.

Im glad Sexson is gone. But I think Bedard might be traded in the offseason

^ They traded away Adam Jones, George Sherrill for basically nothing after this year if Erik got traded?

    Re: Sexson released

Bedard belongs on a non-contending team, as the #2 starter. He cannot handle the pressure of being "the man", at least not right now.
Richie Sexson is a story of what could have been. With the Brewers, he was a real "masher". Since then, he has shown flashes, but has not been a consistant bat. This said, someone will offer him a minor league contract to see if he can work his "issues" out. If he can get back to his previous form, someone will have a cheap, productive hitter. If not, it hasn't cost them much.

    Re: Sexson released

I still think Felix is the #1 and should be. Bedard won't be traded before the offseason. Not with the Multiple DL trips (yes even more than Harden right now).

    Re: Sexson released

Feliz has been the #1 all along. Bedard hasn't thrown over 100 pitches all season. He wasn't a smart trade to begin with but I do find some team taking him off the M's hands.
