Valdez is hitting .200, Olivo is hitting .154.

I ran out of explitives to describe Olivo right now. We need a Catcher too. but hell we dont have one near being ready in the system.

I just woke up to check the score, same as when I went to bed, 3-1. Too bad Gil had that rough first inning, he seems to have settled down nicely. 6 innings pitched, and he has just 80 pitches despite throwing 24 in the first. Offense still does not have a pulse. Beltre is slumping badly, as is just about every member of this team.

I am shocked the Mariners offense has struggled lately. Now greanted, lot of teams are struggling to hit the ball this year so when the weather is heating up, we will see.

I'm not concerned about Beltre and Sexson, they will adjust to the AL and turn it around. But I'm afraid that Boone just isn't a reliable threat anymore at the plate and probably never will be again. Ibanez and Winn are solid, we know what we will get with them. And then there is the SS and C, what a train wreck those two positions are. Once Beltre and Sexson come around we should be fine, by that time we will be ready to complain about the pitching.

Mariners should have spent their money on Tejada last year. Tejada has been rocking the ball for the Orioles.

Meche is now officially dealing. Struck out two in the 7th (bringing his K count to a respectable 5) and retired Kennedy on a fly out to left. His pitch count is up to 92, he should come back out for the 8th, but we should see someone else on the hill if he shows any signs of fatigue. Finally, another good outing for Gil, hopefully he can keep this up, the offense will come around for him.

Yes, lots of teams made the mistake of not going after Miguel hard, I thought for a while that we would get him. Oh well, I can't complain about having Beltre and Sexson.

Olivo K's. I think I officially might now be more frusturated with Miguel than Valdez. Only with Miguel, there is no end in sight, there is no viable replacement for him.

Angels are getting very good pitching from their starters. That's a very good sign for them. They have to keep it up if they want to win a championship.

Colon has looked good. Washburn has been solid. Lackey may have found something that has clicked.
