Personally I don't think spending $85 in todaay's MLB world is enough. It should be but it's just not. A few teams have made it work but not many.

It's a tough problem for anybody owing a MLB team who is a business man first. They don't throw good money after bad if you know what I mean. $85 Million (plus the stadium payoff) is a lot of money but as Bear says it's just not enough to get to the highest echelon of MLB. Sad but true.

That's a very good example. But don't forget the Niners had the Golden Touch in those days. Every player they acquired or drafted turned into an All Pro and Walsh didn't hurt matters either.

Money doesn't win anything and if you think that then you should just stop thinking all together. Giants are spending $90 mil and the Cubs are sepnding $94, which one is better? What have the Mets won lately? How bout them Yankees? Silly argument!

I will not argue that point with you but I feel it is time to do the same with the rest of the team and find out what some of the vets are worth on the market.

Do you really see a team that has a chance to win Big or maybe a team that limps into the playoffs (at best) to loose in the first round? Be honest not only withus but with yourself!
