Great news about Hennessey. He was wasting a roster spot and just something awful. I remember Sadler and I remember him not doing so well. Let's hope the second time's the charm.

As for Velez, Giants need to try and build Durham's trade value if any and play him since he is the better of the two. Velez has seven steals, Durham four. Durham is showing he wants to play.

Velez, who came in as a PH for Burris, is staying in to play second base in this 2-0 game. Your thoughts?

Durham must be hurt since they just pinch hit Velez for Burriss. That or Bochy's incredibly stupid.

Holy shit! I just saw the worst hitting in a long, long time. Top of the 8th, Bocock, Holm and Lewis are all called out on strikes! Pathetic!

Giants looked like they were coming back but a double play ruined that. Giants lose 3-1 and lose the series against the Pirates! Hopefully Zito built some confidence despite getting another loss.

I think he should have atleast some confidence back. He (and the bullpen) was able to keep the Giants in the game. But you'll never know until his next start...which, if all goes well, should be against Houston back home in SF...

Houston is playing good ball. Scary stuff for Zito. Hopefully Cain can get us back on track tomorrow.

Cain left his last start with a strained left hamstring...obviously things resolved themself because he's stills scheduled to start tomorrow. Maholm hasn't been very dominant at all, so I think that if the Giants can get to him early then they can notch a W.

zito's still not worth 17 mil. since he spent 1 day in the pen and pitched to a tune more than twice as good as his season stats...maybe we should force him to sit in the pen every day between starts. that'd make him pitch like...5x as good!

Giants are losing 5-4 right now in the 8th. Velez once again is hitting leadoff proving that Bochy is a retard! A ****ing retard!!! Cain has two doubles and zero runs scored because Velez is batting leadoff. Thanks for nothing!! Ortmeier is 2-4, Holm has 2 RBI and Burriss has a RBI. All five runs are credited to Cain. Ortmeier pulled a Velez and was picked off and caught stealing Bochy is costing us games and we are about to be swept by the ****ing Pirates!!!

Hell froze over in the 9th. Velez actually walked and with two outs. The Retard pinch hit Bowker for Castillo and he swung at the first pitch. Did these rookies not learn anything about situational hitting?? Bowker battled but struck out swinging to end the game. Giants are swept by the ****ing Pirates!!! Giants need to find someone else to play second if Durham goes on the DL. Velez is not that good!!

Tough tough loss for the Giants. I really thought that they had this one. Cain was even helping his own cause at the plate. The four runs seemed enough for Cain to work with, but I guess that wasn't the case. They finish the roadtrip 1-5. The Giants have lost 13 of their last 15 games vs the Pirates...ouch.

On a "lighter" note, Vizquel might return this weekend. "We can't continue to go shorthanded," Bochy said. If that is the case (and if Durham doesn't go on the DL) then either Bocock or Burriss will be sent down.

Yeah hopefully Durham does not go on the DL because I can't take much more of Velez. Vizquel will be a boost in the clubhouse, not so sure about the lineup.

Bochy was commenting on just Vizquel's presence more than anything. He said that Vizquel's leadership on and off the field should help the young guys mature. Let's hope that's the case!
