I would give you rep for that but, you need to give me some first.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Bochy called his pitcher into his office after the game to notify him that he may be sent to the bullpen or have his next start skipped.
"We can't keep doing what we are doing. We need to get together and get a game plan on what we think is best," Bochy said. "I'm sure there's a lot on his mind. He's got a lot of pride and he's taking this harder than anybody."
Way to wake up there Bruce! What's the best for the team is to put the best man for the job out there to try and win. Zito is not that man right now and may never be. Giants legal team is going over every word in that contract as we speak.

Buster Olney is reporting that Zito will be sent to the pen. Hopefully this will light a fire under his ass. He better be studying film of himself in 2002.

Could he have injured his elbow? I was listening to Brenneman and Brantley and Brantley said during the 2nd inning. He's lost control on his breaking ball thats usually a sign that the elbow or shoulder is hurt.

Has anyone examined Zito for injuries?

I say sending him to the bullpen will set fire under his ass. It seems a lot of these players that get huge outrageous contracts relax after they get the big payday. He needs this little demotion to say hey we aint taking this shit anymore from you.

A move had to be made, hopefully this will be a wake up call for Zito and start pitching like a true ace!

Zito has said repeatedly that nothing is wrong physically but to my knowledge he has not been checked by a doctor or had a MRI. Zito hasn't had command in two seasons and his velocity was increasing with every start. He couldn't locate his fastball so hitters just sat back on his junk and crushed it.

Are his mechanics out of whack? If they may be his pitching coach should & he should really consider ironing that out and looking at old film of when he was dominate or his career could end up in the shitter.

I'm sure they've probably tried that. That is usually the option before considering a demotion to either the minors or the bullpen

Righetti and Zito really haven't seen eye to eye on what the problem is and the best way to fix it which has been a problem. Righetti didn;t like that fact that Zito came in last year and tried to change his windup and tinker with things.

That's what I've heard was the problem - Zito's tinkering with his windup. The reporters over here are saying that all the changing he did put something outta whack and is causing all this awful pitching...whether that's true or not I don't know, but I guess it makes sense.
