    Ortiz to the pen

When Russ Ortiz comes off the disabled list, he'll head to the bullpen while Tim Lincecum stays in the starting rotation.
Ortiz was 2-2 with a 6.44 ERA in five starts before he was disabled with neuritis in his right elbow, while Lincecum is 1-0 with a 3.44 ERA in three starts. The rookie has 21 strikeouts in 18 1/3 innings.
A no brainer here but I wonder who will be sent down or possibly let released. Sweeney is a possibility to be let go but it will probably be a guy like Ortmeier be sent back down. Sanchez might need to get some work in at AAA the way he has pitched this year.

Yes a no brainer, and a good managemnet move there. It is nice to have a veteran in a long relief and spot start situation. They can come in and bridge over trouble spots until the bats warmup or in case of emergency.

Damn it, now I have to find another starter for my Hall of Shame fantasy league.
