Giants eye reliever: The Giants are one of several teams talking to the Milwaukee Brewers about reliever Jose Capellan, major-league sources said Friday. Capellan, 26, is a big right-hander who throws in the mid- to high-90s and demanded a trade when the Brewers optioned him to Triple-A Nashville before the season began.

No deal is imminent. In fact, Brewers general manager Doug Melvin said in Milwaukee he has not yet returned the calls of teams that have phoned about the pitcher. The Giants' interest underscores how they are looking in all directions to improve an inexperienced bullpen.

Capellan is not exactly a weathered veteran. Last season was his first as a full-time big-leaguer. He pitched in 61 games and had a 4.40 ERA for Milwaukee.
Looks like we would be getting more of the same, mediocrity. But if we can get him for cheap like a AA player, then I wouldn't mind it.
