    I think he might give that range a real run..........but hell he only needs to hit above .248 to best Klesko last year..........and if he can hit .270+ he'll run into 15+ HR's and 75+ RBI..........

    No I mean who was the last QUALITY 1st baseman....... Klesko was never going to make a run at a GG........Klesko will never know what it means to "go with a pitch" intentionally....... Klesko was just better at the position of 1st than anywhere else.....he wasn't a good 1st baseman

    yes I meant "quality 1st baseman"........lol........

    Gonzalez ( granted it's very early ) looks like he could one day win a GG, or at least play that calibur defense..... He also looks like he could one day hit300+ consistantly, since he uses the whole field and has great power to all fields.....So his game is pretty complete....... man it's nice to have that......I had forgotten how nice it is.......

    Padres 1st Base

    I know Nevin wasn't productive offensively last season for the Padres, but he was a good defensive 1st basemen.

    My prediction for today......Padres 7 Braves 3

    Nevin was a defensive mess....... he could always glove a ball but when it came to throwing, even he didn't know where it was heading..... Which is why he lost his starting spot at 3rd..... they were just trying to hide him at 1st......and most 1st baseman if they produce at the plate are allowed to be just avg. on defense.....which is all Nevin EVER was
