    R U KIDDING ME............this guy is so far done it's not even funny that this has happened..........

    I'd like to invite Towers to try and improve us, not make us look like we're lost and have no idea what we're doing....

    U should be so lucky to have them at least you dont have Joe May and Kyle lohse. God I hope Lohse gets traded to you guys, hell give us Buroughs. ( spelling) He would I think play a hell of alot better in minnesota. It may be what both players need is a change of team and scenery.

    Is there not a kid in your farm system they can bring up? You might be in a division race but this isn't helping. A minor leaguer I am sure can do better.

    Minn should want Darrell May.........he pitches like Cy Young in that ballpark.....look at his career splits up there......sheesh.....too bad he's not that guy all the time.......

    Reefer........that is so true........when you try and improve a pitching staff with guys like Valdez, Redding, May & now Astacio, you're failing to grasp a very simple concept...........once a suck, always a suck...........

    What's really sad is that this staff and bullpen are damn good, and only need one or two more guys to make it possibly the best combined overall in the NL and maybe MLB........and they go get Astacio........GIVE ME A F-ing BREAK !! In fact, pay me a $1mil I'll toss my gas can for an inning like these clowns....

    wait a second, im here drunk out of my mind in Malaysia and I come to my computer on the ship to log on to the strike three forums and suddenly find out that we

    1) traded Tim Redding and Darrel May for Paul Quantrill

    and did we just sign Pedro Astacio?

    I haven't gotten conformation on the second, but It's a push if both happend. Our bullpen has been one of the bright spots all year, so the acquisition of Quantril gives me no extra confidence (although I want to see what the Yanks do with May, lmao) Astacio...I guess it's just another project. He was great two years ago, so we'll see how it goes (even though I would've prferered that "#2" starter we was asking for)

    I was listening to the 1090 on the way to the game yesterday. And basically Astacio is really just a Ismael Valdez type of pitcher.

    A guy who doesn't throw nearly as hard as he used to, but can still hit his spots.

    But its a minor league deal.. its not as if we're signing Astacio to be the savior here.



    no. 2 pitcher would be nice, but I think taht Adam Eaton guy.. yea that guy, has been good so far.

    and I have no idea what the hell KT is doing with the Quantrill move.. he was great in LA.. two years ago... if its true. I still haven't seen confirmation on it yet. I only first saw it here. :p
