Apr 18 Bard is expected to be activated from the disabled list when he is eligible on April 28, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune. Bard, the Padres starting catcher, suffered a strained groin in the Padres' 4-0 victory over San Francisco on April 11. He is hitting .286 (8-for-28) with four RBIs in seven games and Rob Bowen has filled in for him.

Bowen started hitting, and this team started scoring.....nice to have a competent back up guy like him......But it will be even nicer to drop Cameron further down the lineup when Bard comes back......I'd rather see Bard hitting 5th than Cameron....little more protection for AGon....
