This game looks like it's getting out of hand.

At least they've won the series.

    This is ****ed up, majorly.

Clay makes a small complaint about a call against Roberts and Emil (Home plate ump) proceeds to carry a grudge from there on and calls every close pitch a ball.

3 walks later, followed by 3 hits and it's 5-1 Giants

    Seriously, this is ****ed up.

I don't normally blame losses on the Umps, but this home plate umpire completely changed the complexion of this game with his pettiness.

I think the umpire behind home was horrible and he did change the outcome of the game, but he was calling a terrible game for both sides, and not just against us. Sadly it cost Hensley a K vs. Bonds, which lead to a pathetic scoring mess.

This is exactly why MLB needs to police umpires. While bad calls happen and are apart of the game, consistant piss poor calls are far from ok, and very correctable.

I agree that he was horrible on both sides, but he seemed to carry a grudge against Clay (and Bud) in the 5th inning after Clay motioned with his glove after a bad call on the 1st pitch to Roberts.

EVERYTHING that was close was called a ball....EVERYTHING.

And this is why Umpires should be policed by MLB. That guy should be fined or suspended since he was clearly a direct influence on the game, which is never ok. If you then have to take actions against players for their part, then do it, but I saw what Clay did, and it was nothing more than built up frustration over the course of 4 innings, to which he does have a right so long as he's not showing anyone up in a negative way.

Care to put forth an actual opinion?

Are you calling the umpire's grudge lame? Or, as I suspect, are you wearing your black and orange glasses and calling us lame for calling him out on it?

Again, I almost never complain about the umpires, short of maybe saying "that wasn't a strike" or "that was a strike" once in awhile.

This guy held a grudge and changed the entire complexion of the game.

And yes, the Padres didn't help matters by ****ing up in the process, such as when Kouz ran over Greene on the pop up. I'm not putting full blame on the umpire, just stating his grudge was ****ed up.

I also just got done stating that the Padres helped contribute to the loss with boneheaded plays such as Kouz running Khalil over.

Did you watch the game? His horrible balls and strikes calling in the other innings, even my 12 year old nephew could tell that the umpire was holding a grudge against Hensley.

Clay was rolling until then. If practically forcing 3 walks by calling anything on the corner a ball, therby forcing Hensley to throw meat down the middle because it won't be called a strike otherwise, which leads to easier chances for Giants to get hits doesn't change the complexion of the game, I don't know what does.

Take off your Orange and Black glasses. The Giants won the game, the Padres made mistakes, and the Umpire sucked.
