He didn't struggle for too long. Pujols is straight up murdering the Pads.

and Pads, Peavy got hit hard the second time through the order so even without the Pujols homer, they were going to score runs.

Chris Young pitched an awesome game. And what's the deal with Dave Roberts, he's not supposed to be this good is he? Nice to see that the Padres are actually going to make a series of it, and aren't just going to roll over and die.

What did I tell ya, if anyone thinks these guys are dead they simply have not been paying attention. I think Bochy and KT are writing a book, how to do everything wrong and still win.

God these guys are driving me insane, I predict Peavy tomorrow, not because of his great away numbers or because he is the so called ace of the staff, but because A) we hit better away and he might need the additional support and B) Bochy will go in for the kill in the fifth game with Woody and his 2.93 home ERA in San Diego.

Young was not on his A game and should have been knocked around the ballpark. When they hit it, they hit it hard. He was just floating 78 mph staright changeups chest high and they were just fouling it off. Any other day, everyone in the world could have knocked that shit around. It was good to see the Pads actually do something with RISP.

Looks like they're starting Woody today rather than putting Peavy against Carpenter.

Hope it turns out to not be a bad decision.

Woody has been reliable all season long, so i'm not overly concerned.

Well I should mention now that it is not a good idea to take my predictions to Vegas to bet, I am pretty good with the horses when I bother to handicap, having been all but brought up at Del Mar during the season my entire live including the time that I was a sparkle in my mothers eye, but outside of that I am a complete gambling flop and my thoughts about today’s starter is a case in point on that subject and as usual I can’t follow Bochy’s logic in his choices. The only reason I can see him going with Woody right now, and it is a good one too, is because he does not want him getting to cold, but for the life a me I cannot see why he started out with Peavy in the first place. Woody has a .82 better ERA than Peavy this year at home and a .28 better ERA than Peavy away, you combine that with the fact that we scored 315 runs at home this year, last in the league and 416 runs away, seventh in the league and logic has it that you would want to give Woody two tries at winning at home and roll the dice with Peavy and the offense on the road.

Oh well, this scattered brained method of decision making has gotten us this far, why the hell stop now.

He started out with Peavy due to conventional wisdom of starting a playoff series with your staff ace.

Please don't be confused by Peavy's numbers this season, he's still head and shoulders above the rest of the Padres staff.
