    Khalil hurts finger, again.

Initial x-ray is negative, might not be too bad this time.

Day to day. At most he'll be about 5 days off.

He needs it anyway.........his play is uninspiring right now, and he looks like he's just going through the motions out there....maybe this will recharge his batteries at little

That would be by watching him......even for Kahlil it has looked to me like he's just been moping around.... like someone shot his dog or something... He's far from an emotional guy on the field, but over the last few weeks he seems even more distant....even more shutdown.....I could be way off here but that's just what I've seen.....

Khalil isn't an excitable guy anyway, it's hard to tell what's going through his mind.

    Padres

Khalil is not swinging the bat like I'm sure he would want to be. He's been streaky, so I'm sure this time off will do him good.

He better find some consistancy or he wont be a Padre much longer I fear....I can see them moving him if he proves unable to hit for some sort of BA....ugh to that thought

The Padres would be stupid to move Khalil.

Like his bat or not the guy has become too popular to the casual fans who don't follow the team as much as we do to just give away.

Khalil could probably bat .112 with a .201 slg and a .150 OBP and your average fan would still call for "the front office"s head (as they probably don't know who Towers is) for letting him go....and then stop buying tickets...which leads to less payroll....which leads to pissing off the more informed fans such as us.

Stupid ? Hmm seems to be the mantra for the left side of the IF lately....watch out Kahlil

If Kahlil's power #'s were a little higher, then his BA wouldn't be that big a deal..... but it's not, and Alderson wont stand pat on that for long....IMO...that's not the moneyball way

if Khalil's numbers continued to drop I wouldn't be against trading him while he still has value.

I just fear the unwarrented outcry from the average fan that would follow.

I understand......I would probably ***** a moan a little unless he tanked, then I'd be all for it......I just don't quite get him.....there are times when he's so locked in, and taking great approaches, regardless of whether he hits the ball or not........

Then there are times when he's totally lost, and his approach is so wrong it's painful to watch.....

Come on Merv.....use that magic wand.........and come on Kahlil.....open your ears and listen since you can't do it all on your own.......and faith wont work, since Jesus can't hit a curveball
