    Padres sweep the Dodgers!

beating them further into the cellar.

Wasn't this the team any sportswriter with a pen predicted to win the NL West, both before the season and at the ASB?

Uh, congrats. Your hindsight is apparently worth more than a sportswriter with a pen.

Hollywood.......were those the East coast homers otherwise known as ESPN that said that ? lol why would that surprise anyone......I'm sure they still don't think we have a chance either.....

Did you notice on ESPN about a week and a half ago, that the commentators were talking about the NLWest and who would win it.....the two teams they talked about ........ LA and SF........didn't even mention the Padres once....lol....

Last night on ESPN was the most I've seen the Padres talked about this year, including a Peavy interview....it was great....and long overdue

What's going on with the fight/debacle between Penny and Lofton? ESPN was saying something about that.

Lofton jogged to get a ball that Dave Roberts had hit, allowing Roberts to take second base on a great hustle play..... Penny was pissed at Lofton's lack of effort, and got on him in the dugout.....

    Padres

I don't know if I'm the first to post this....

Wilson Betemit is now a Los Angeles Dodger....

The Dodgers traded Dannys Baez and Willy Aybar to the Braves for Wilson Betemit.

OK Kevin Towers....time for you trump the Dodgers.

it's all over the forums...just not in here.

The Braves are stupid, or blind. Have they not seen Baez pitch this year?

    Padres

KT needs to show the Padre fans that he is going to keep this team in front for the rest of the year. They need to come up with a deal for Maddux as well as find an every day 3rd baseman. I think Ensberg may not happen because his injury seems worse than originally reported. Here's who's left:

    Hank Blalock - Rangers
    Aaron Boone - Indians
Josh Fields - White Sox AAA prospect
    Joe Randa - Pirates
    Ty Wiggington - Devil Rays
    Aramis Ramirez? - Cubs

I'm going to add Eric Hinske to that list...you can play him at 3rd as well as in the outfield to give Giles' and his hamstring a day off.

I usually don't troll and the Dodgers aren't going anywhere but Betemit is officially not yours. Enjoy another sweep to the Cardinals if your boys make it there.

Little slow this morning Dodger fan? We knew about the Betemit trade late last night. Speaking of sweep to the Cardinals, didn't they sweep you twice? Haven't you also been swept TWICE by the Padres this year, and both times at Dodger Stadium? I don't know that you have much to brag about right now.
