Since someone brought up Azicri, how does 10-9-6-9 at only 22 years old sound? Nelson was tops on my draft list that season but now I am sure glad someone else took him before me.

Martinez will probably be the closest I ever get to a 10,10,10 guy. Hes 6,10,10 so I am confident he will be very good when his time comes.Originally Posted by bjd2933

nelsen is a pussy toad and i'm glad i got rid of him... all of that aside, i still wouldn't be suprised if he blossoms in about 4 years.
Thats all it took to get Baluelos and Valencia?Originally Posted by missionhockey21

Perhaps if you bothered to actually FIELD AN OFFER, he would have been yours.

Its probably because we were expecting you to ask for the house for those 2.

I'm happy with the trade. Of course I would have loved to have kept Nelsen, but if it wasn't Nelsen, it would have been Hodo or Erazo going the other way, and they're both already 3.0 overall (they were 2.5 at the time of the trade however) and under 27. Nelsen is a raw talent, and may have never developed with me. For all I know he may blossom in 4 years and be a stud... or he may never pan out. But I didn't feel like waiting on him, so it was a risk I had to take.
I liked Gordon a lot too... but going into the trade, I had about 5 other OFers who I would start. So he was expendable.
Gordon and Hymes did the opposite of what I thought they would at the time of the trade and decreased in ratings.
