    Trade DET-WAS

    Detroit sends:
    MR Walter Crothers, 4 stars, 300k
    MR Robert Bowers, 2.5 stars, 300k
    SS Rory Banfield, 3 star prospect
    1B Ricky Alvarez, 3.5 star prospect
    Total: 600k

    Washington sends:
    SP Benito Losoya, 3 stars, 2,664,286
    SP Jeff Bullins, 3.5 star prospect
    SP Richard Gray, 1.5 star prospect
    C Harvey Byrum, 2.5 stars, 2.2 million
    Total: 4,865,286

    Basically thinking that, Alvarez was a tough loss- coulda been a big OBP guy, but I needed starting pitching and a catcher that could hit. Of course, Alvarez will explode just like Hodges did when I moved him to Washington.

    I don't recall Hodges really getting better or worse when you traded him to me. I sure am glad you did though. I don't know what I would do if I was stuck with Aybar at third. lol

    Could be an interesting situation at 1B if Alvarez fully develops. Going from a .200-.220, 20-30 HR guy with a ton of K's to a guy with no power whatsoever but would be a base stealing, on base percentage machine. One reason I was adamant on getting him, how he is the complete opposite of the typical 1B man. Looking for pretty much the same thing out of Banfield and then of course shoring up my bullpen.
