Well this year was supposed to be our last shot with my best players, but with Colorado going to crush the division again I'm going to see if I can get some returns on my guys in their walk years.
Stud hitters in their last years:
#4 Jose "The Beast" Bemudez, Rightfield, 30 yrs
Monster year last year, going 305/402/712 with 65 homers (and 45 steals). Extreme power, but I wouldn't expect the average to stay north of 300.
#35 Ronald Krull, Shortstop, 31 yrs
One of the top SS in the league, puts up amazing stats year after year. Also plays a decent 2B/3B. 4 straight years with an OPS greater than 947.
#16 John "Brooklyn" Soto, Third Base, 34 yrs
Career batting average of .320, he just flat out hits. 9 range defense at the hot corner, with 8's in speed/stealing. Also rumored to be a "switch hitter".
The starting pitchers
#10 Martin Deramus, Starting Pitcher, 28 yrs
#64 William Keeler, Starting Pitcher, 30 yrs
#1 Pete "Sharky" Hadsell, Starting Pitcher, 31 yrs
Yeah yeah, they are no great shakes, but you could do much worse. Deramus is the best of the group with a 3.77 ERA last year, but Keeler is the horse that eats innings for breakfast. Hadsell has to be better than last year, right?
Looking for young players and prospects (duh), but I'm open to creative deals with veterans and large salaries.
