no, it passed
What became of Roy Oswalt in S3SL? He was the biggest free agent after the 2007 SBSL season.
Krynzel: I simply do not like your organization.
Bay: I simply do not like your organization.
Who the hell do they think they are?
My bet is people over pay for the defectors and wind up with Jose Contreras pre-2005.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.

Let's see, IIRC. Houston traded him off to San Diego for some reason, then after a couple really nice seasons (going off of guessing here, could've been a few good days), he was moved in one of many blockbusters b/w San Diego and Cleveland. Later on, he got one of those season ending injuries and was never the same.Originally Posted by realmofotalk
The actual trades were
Oswalt from Houston (I believe he was a 4.5 at the time) to San Diego for Michael Johnson/Gabriel Pride/Trevor Hoffman (Johnson and Pride were prospects)
Then, well, I'll just C&P the other trade
Cleveland gets:
P Roy Oswalt (4.5 stars)
RF Ichiro (3 stars)
P Jason Young (3.5 stars)
P Francisco Rodriguez (5 stars)
3b Garret Atkins (2.5 stars)
C Kelly Schoppach (2.5 stars)
6 million for 3 years
San Diego gets:
1b Connor Jackson (4.5 prospect)
3b Wes Hodges (4 prospect)
P Tommy Thrasher (4 prospect)
P Joel Hanrahan (4 prospect)
2b Delwyn Young (3.5 prospect)
P Mario Ramos (3 prospect)
P Dominick Stembridge (3 prospect)
SS Chris De La Cruz (3 star prospect)
P Rich Stahl (3 star prospect)
1b Travis Hafner (2.5 star)
3B Greg LaRocca (2.5 star)
C Josh Bard (1 star)
Essentially, he was really damn good for a little while, then got a major injury and wasn't the same after that.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.
Comforting to know Hanrahan was decent once.

For reference, that deal is the reason why we now have a maximum player number allowed in deals.
It's not fun analyzing 18 players.
Looks fun to me.

Detroit, wanna swap rosters?

Haven't we done that already?
I remember from the leagues I used to help run, we had a 9 team deal once. That was insane, and those GMs had no life.

Who knew Roy Oswalt would have a couple years left in him and injuries would hurt him?
In a way, I'm glad I have Michael Johnson in return.
Hey remember when I brought my rag tag team of lovable losers to the playoffs and won the World Series? I do.
My Goal this free agency is corner the market on OFs :-D. You can never have enough outfielders on a 25 man roster , especially when they can play at least 2 of the 3 great... and Ive got 55 mil to spend on just that LOL.
