True, 20 million invested into a guy who's already at his ceiling (which is an average ceiling) is a head scratcher.

People also fail to realize that im losing 6 M in a pending deal after FA. All i really have to do is lock up Sala and Bartel and ill be ok. Im not crippled or I WOULDNT make the offer.

I wouldn't depend on that deal at this point.

I wouldn't trust Pena at 3B at all, sub-par fielding%, below average range, only think going for him is his arm, I would play him at C or 1B if he I was going to play him that much for that long

It puts me at 64 M if the pending deal passes (which i think will). Which is about where my revenue is for last season.

Tromblys deal ends after this season. Thats when Pena will catch. I feel i had to do this to get Pena, because hes 25, talented, and plays three positions. I will stand by this deal. I got the room to add that 11 M and i used it. I think some of it had to do with all the offers i had (lowball offers) getting beaten by divison rivals that i was going to get someone good if i had to overpay to do it. You cant tell me less than 4 teams wanted Pena.

Also i have Bartel at 1B, so C is more likely where hes going to play after this season.

Whatever Agosto gets, it won't be from LA. Him and his stupid desire for a winner.

No doubt Fisher offered something fairly nice.

thats realistic too though. teams get a little nervous, and feel like they have to overspend to bring in talent. and usually the next season after they dont pan out, theyre on the block to be dealt. it happens here, it happens there [mlb].

im a notorious overspender, and im not shy about admitting so... but pena jr and gonzales were even deep for my pockets... i had 5x6 and 4x8 to them respectively, and thought both offers were more than fair.
Its a rare big FA offer from me. And i got the guy for him. Im happy.

All the hype and anticipation of this period ending and nobody signed. At least my 2 guys are still available.
