You could try offering him like 2.5 mil per for 3, it would be cheaper in the long haul and less of a burden for the year to year roster. Then again, I don't know how his "patience" is.

Okay, try him for that. If he refused but isn't impatient yet up the offer to $2.75 for 3 years. If he doesn't take it just do the $2.03 for 4.
