Movie Pick 'Ums: Vin Diesel's Return?

Shit, five movies and none are front runners. Which means, one will surprise like the House Bunny and it's likely Tropic Thunder could win out again. Either way, we lose.

For Hamlet 2, anything it made in limited release last week will not count. It is expanding, so it makes the poll.

For this week, Vin Diesel battles a spoof, a Jason Bourne knock off, an American Pie knock off, and perhaps one of the most off the wall comedies in recent memory. Fun!

Carmen Electra's resume is interesting: Scary Movie, Scary Movie 4, Date Movie, Epic Movie, Meet the Spartans, and now Disaster Movie. I'm surprised she didn't lobby to be in Scary Movie 2 and 3.

Yikes, this is an even worse list than last week. There are going to be so many movies in the same range this week...I have no idea if any of these will be #1 at the box office, Thunder might win at like $12 mil or so. I guess I'll go with Babylon AD

You know it's a bad list when every movie has 1 vote

funny how every movie on that list ABSOLUTELY SUCKED, and the only decent Scary Movies she wasn't in (2 and 3 were kind of funny).

traitor looks like the only movie id ever even consider watching because don cheadle is awesome, but unless a serious movie has a huge star (vin diesel doesnt count because he did that day care cia agent bullshit movie) or is gonna be an academy award candidate, the general simpleton movie going public is gonna see a comedy. college definitely has a legit shot too though.

naturally now that i said that, vin diesel is gonna blow the rest of these movies out of the water.

I actually plan on seeing Hamlet 2, but I doubt it makes more than $4 mil or so

I just saw that Kevin Covais is in that movie College. How'd he go from American Idol reject to getting a movie gig?

Re: Movie Pick 'Ums: Vin Diesel's Return?

I am a HUGE Steve Coogan fan so I'll be seeing Hamlet 2. I really haven't seen much of Traitor in terms of advertising, but I think that could have done well if it was better marketed. By the way, did you know that Traitor was written by Steve Martin... yes, the comedian.

Eitherway, those are the only two on the list of interest me so I will assume that neither will win. If College is heavily played up on MTV, YouTube, MySpace, etc.... given the timing of it's release, I suppose that it could have a decent shot.

In the end it doesn't matter and only The Dark Knight's rise to $500 million domestic counts.

Um, look at the movie gig.

Disaster Movie and College might just be the two worst-looking movies of the year. Yikes.

There are enough idiots that they will pick Disaster Movie.

Which would sum up this bunch.

TBL: Anaheim Angels 2006-present (238-244 regular season, 1 division title)
MSL: St Louis Cardinals 2013-present (2734-2936 regular season, 5 division titles, 2 championships)
    TSSL: Seattle Mariners 2006-2029, Pittsburgh Pirates 2030-present (209-277, 5 division titles w/SEA, 1 championship w/SEA)

Amazingly, the Scary Movie franchise made a lot of money, Date Movie made like 50 million and Epic Movie made almost 90 million.
