    Forgot about that. Maybe they do have a chance. But still. They need to be 100% willing to spend money and keep young talent, neither of which they've shown capability of. So I dont' have too much hope.

    Pirates have a nice little core to work with now with McCutchen, Alvarez, Tabata and Meek with more studs on the way. If the Pirates spend wisely and build around these guys, Hurdle could have a great chance of turning this club around. I see Hurdle helping Alvarez a lot.
