Phillies Turn Unassisted Triple Play To Finish Game

I haven't seen the footage on this yet but apparently 2B Eric Bruntlett turned it in the bottom of the 9th. It was the 15th unassisted triple play in major league history and it was only the third that has ended a game. Congratulations on accomplishing this dude! You definitely don't see this very often.

It's times like this when I'm glad I have MLB.TV

The video BF linked didn't seem to work so I went to search for it on YouTube and found an idiot who posted parts of a Mariners/Orioles game with the title "Bruntlett turns triple play...", an idiot who had a still shot of the game raving about how great the play was, then that same idiot with a webcam shot of his television.

It was at this point when I asked myself why I was being dumb and searching YouTube when I have MLB.TV.

I don't see why ESPN is splooging its pants over this. Bruntlett was terrible in the inning and he was in the right place at the right time for this. That's the only way an unassisted triple play happens. DeAngelo Williams' run was way better
