    he really only had the 1 bad game...the other loss was by 1 run and he went the distance only giving up 4 runs. He also had 2 no decisions in the 1913 vs. 1914 matchup...going 6 with no earned runs and going 8 innings giving up only 4 earned...for a total ERA of 4.96 (16 earned * 9 / 29 innings)...take away the 1 bad game and his ERA drops down to 3.13. I think it's probably a case of going against more modern teams like 1989 for example.

    1911 wins by a score of 6 - 2. Eddie Collins went 4 for 5 scoring 3 runs, knocking in 3 runs, and homering. Cy Morgan was player of the game going 8 and 2/3 striking out 11. Tony Phillips tripled in 2 runs for 1989.

    yea, I've noticed that, too. All I can say is they're leaving it all out on the field for the chance to become the greatest A's team ever!

    But certainly, in the 1900s and such, it was not all that uncommon for guys to throw complete games most every time out.

    It's the 1980s A's that are throwing CGs in the sims that are surprising.

    1911 wins game 7 by a score of 1 - 0. Cy Morgan crippled Canseco "Jose Canseco is hit by a pitch. Canseco is in a lot of pain and it looks like the trainer won't let him return." Bris Lord knocked in the winning run. Cy Morgan was the player of the game throwing a CG shutout.
