No such luck today...A's lose 7 - 2. We were getting perfect gamed for 6 2/3 innings...Crosby walked to breakup the perfect game and the Thomas homered to breakup the no hitter and shutout. Loaiza had gone 6 shutout innings with about 90 pitches and Macha let him go back out there and left him out there too long as he ended up giving up 5 earned runs and took the loss.

At least Texas and LA Angels lost so not much ground lost. Seattle will probably lose today too (Pinero is up).

A's lose 3 - 1 and get swept. Again Macha leaves a pitcher out there too long. Granted the final 2 runs weren't earned, but still. He had Street warming and Zito was already over 100 pitches...plus he struggled through the 8th. Street should have started the 9th. The Mariners and the Angels are both winning. We could end up being tied for 1st now. Texas plays later tonight.
