Because he is DONE. He could not get it done in yesterday's game and allowed a homerun to Varitek that blew the save, and now today has been just a complete mess. Marinao gets ripped off as Colon wins it, voters look to see 20 wins and not study exactly what he did. The 8th highest ERA wins the CY while the greatest closer in the history of the game gets snubbed. if there were great candidates who were starters I'd have no problem but this was a year where there were not great starting candidiates and Mariano should have won it.
