It's the first game of the season. Everyone calm down. It's going to be ok. Girardi's a good manager, and even though he likes to overmanage, just like every Yankee manager before him, it will be fine.

I don't know if I'd call him good, he's better than Torre, he's competent at least. But his over-reliance on excessive strategical moves drives me bonkers. I've never seen someone overthink and outthink themselves like him.

he is most certainly not a good manager. look across the dugout in this first series... thats a good manager. this guy is a dolt. we just have no frame of reference on what a good manager is because of what preceded him.
