    JA Happ: TOP PHILLIES PROSPECT
This year: 2-0 with a 2.49 ERA and 17 Ks in 21.1 IP (1 HR allowed)
    Last Year @ Lehigh Valley, AAA: 8-7 with a 3.60 ERA and a 1.21 WHIP in 23 GS. Had 151 K in 135 IP, with a K/9 of 10.1, and a K/BB of 3.15.

26 years old. Pitched well in his stints in the Majors, and is replacing Chan Ho (Knock me out of the) Park.

As far as "many of the homeruns wouldn't go out of the average park," who ever wanted an average park? How many fly balls have been gobbled up by the Green Monster at Fenway and turned into doubles? How many doubles and triples have turned into outs at Petco?

The point I was trying to make is that the homerun/XBH numbers aren't alarming and that it's not uncommon for parks to play a certain way. It's part of the game. The last thing I want to do is see the Yankees manipulate their park any further.

As far as Damon's HRs, I can tell that you don't watch because almost all of his HR at the Stadium, like Melky and Cano, have been line drives into the second deck. Ask NYGF or brownie, they'll tell you. For the amount of "cheap" homeruns there are at least 4 or 5 legitimate shots. I'm not worried at all.
The Green Monster is only like 250 feet away. If you can't get it over that, it doesn't deserve to be a HR. Check out the stats, it's more of a hitter's park than Arlington OR Citizen's Bank(according to baseball reference's ballpark factor).

    Lidge blows it up!

Only caught the 9th inning and I'm going to miss the rewind tonight on YES.

Still, great AB and subsequent HR by ARod and I loved the SB by Cano. Great baseball.

    Rubber game: CC vs. Hamels.

    Perfect day!

Mark Teixeria hit a BROKEN BAT home run. First time I've ever seen that before. The end of the bat went all the way down to third base.

You have to KILL it for it to go out on a broken bat. And it went to left field so there isn't any complaining about the short porch.

Jim Rice broke bats on check swings.

A broken bat homerun is rare, but a check swing broken bat? That's nuts.

Tell me about it...beating Lidge twice in the series is nice...even if he hasn't been that good this year.

Further proof the stadium is a joke. The only other time I saw that happen was when Barry Bonds did it. I think it was at Wrigley Field but not too sure.

You see it? He hit it on the fat part of the bat...I just think the bat was a POS
