Sabathia was left in too long and the A's tie it back up. 7-7.

Yea bad move by Girardi there. He came out but left CC in. Holliday tied the game on the next pitch

I'm pretty sure this is a new New Yankee Stadium record for longest game.

3rd inning of work for Veras! Dude, put Steven Jackson out there!

Damn. Walk off fashion and Melky roped that ball almost one-handed. Finally it's ****ing over.

    The Melkman delivers!

Nice win to get some momentum going into Boston. The bullpen was just awesome with 7.1 innings of scoreless ball, especially a gem of an outing by Veras. Encouraging to see such strong relief from the pen.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

ESPN just said they set a record for most homeruns to open a ballpark!

Well that was depressing. Thank God I didn't make any bets with my friends on this series. But at least we battled and stayed in there. Time for a much needed day off, then back home to face the Rays. Fun fun fun.

Great job by the Yannkee pen, I thought that game was never going to end. Melky has done a good job in spot duty this year which is good to see.
