This is enormous news. Posada has really gotten lost in the shuffle of another hectic Yankees offseason but the bottom line is he needs to perform well. I love Jose Molina, and he's one helluva defensive catcher, but we can't expect him to be a starter once again. Jorge threw out 3 of 4 base runners in a minor league game and says he can trust his arm again. It would be a huge lift for the Yankees if that's true.

Sweet. The biggest thing that could kill the Yankees this year would be injuries, especially with guys like Posada, Burnett, and other guys getting a bit old. So this is definitely good news.

Definitely good news as Posada will be a key to this Yankees team and pitching staff. Girardi will have to be sure to keep him fresh and give him plenty of days off.

The question is whether Posada will be able to get through a 162 game season and STAY at 100 percent. We'll have to see, but he's getting older, and could very well break down again.
