    Pirates - Yankees Series Thread

It seems like when we get a good start and timely hitting, the bullpen goes and blows the game. When we get the hits we need, we get a poor start. And When we get a good start, and the bullpen keeps us in, the bats fall asleep. When is it all going to click? Only 100 games left...

I think it begins to click this homestand, minumim 9-4 for these 13 games. The last 2 games have me optimistic, I know we lost but that's a damn good team we lost to yesterday in their building. This is a great opportunity to get back in it, we need to take advantage of these 14 games.

^ Agreed. It should be a good homestand. Our past two starts from our pitchers looked good so hopefully the rotation has found its way out of the dark. We need to HIT. The bats cannot lag. And we need to score early so our starters won't feel as pressured. I'm looking for a two out of three series win. Go Yanks.

I'll be at the game tonight. I can't wait to boo the crap out of Tony Wosuck.

I hope this is where we pick it up.

We are 6.5 games back. I figure another 10 game win streak puts us 3 games out. If we can reel off something like 17 or 18 out of 20 then we will have the momentum to come out of nowhere to take over.

    One game at a time.

Man, Braves AND Yanks have been shitty this year...terrible, terrible. Looks like it's time for the youth movement (already underway in ATL, impossible in NY..there's not too much youth).

Ruben "El Caballo" Sierra with a 2 RBI single. Bases loaded, 1 out for Posada. Normally, this would be a sure bet for a 1-7-3 DP, but the bats today have been good. Hoping for a GS!
