    Yankees Congrats To The Moose!!

Mike Mussina shut out the Red Sox for six innings today to collect his first 20 win season as he finishes 20-9 on the year. It took the 39 year old 18 seasons to accomplish this but he finally did it! Mussina was left for dead after a dreadful '07 season but he rebounded and was a force for the Yankees. If Cliff Lee didn't ave such a great season, Mussina would definitely be the Comeback Player of the Year. Congrats to Moose and let the HOF talk get on its way!!

Once I knew the Yanks weren't gonna get to the playoffs, this was my goal for the season...get Moose 20 wins. They did it by the hair of their chinny chin chin, but they got it done. Great job for this man. He's a great person and a great pitcher. He should be in the HOF, especially if he comes back for another year or 2

I'm really happy for the Moose, this is a great accomplishment and thank god our bullpen didn't screw it up. He has to be brought back next year after this season. Congrats to a guy who might have been our team MVP!

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

A-Rod is NOT our MVP this year. Don't even give me stats. I hope you were being sarcastic

Congrats to Mussina, it's possible that was his last appearance in a Yankee unifrom so if it was he went out on a high note. He's definitely not a HOFer even w/ his one 20 win season but he's been one of the games better pitchers for a long time.

Sometimes you have to let stuff go. Let this be a celebration of the oldest 20 game winner (1st time at that) ever.

I did. I started the thread!! Its an amazing feat out of nowhere. Just making my point that these Yankee fans dwell on the negative I say about their franchise and conveniently omit the good I say.

You didn't need to have the look at me comment though.

Sometimes let actions speak louder than words. It wasn't called for.

And I didnt realize that Mussina was having that good of a year until now.

First 20th win season. How many pitchers have multiple 20 win seasons in MLB history?

My actions aren;t being looked at and neither are my words. Well only the negative words so half.

Glad I could bring this to the attention of the forum.
