Player Manny back to the AL in the offseason?

MANNY'S REVENGE: EYES BX. - New York Post

According to the NY Post, Manny may have enough anger towards the Red Sox, that he may actually be looking to a contract in the Bronx for next season. Do you guys think that the Yankees would actually go after him? How much is he going to want? I mean, the Yankees are trying to go young and he's gonna want like 14 million a year...I don't see it happening.

    Without a doubt.

Look to see the Yankees as players for Teix and Manny...Evil Empire and dynasty again.

I would like to think the Yankees are done signing olders player but maybe not. No NL GM should take a chance on Manny for 4 yrs. Only AL teams should be willing to do that. I think the Yankees are better off going after someone younger with less baggage. Yankees should concentrate on Tex and starting pitching.

Just for today. You should agree with a lot more.

I usually do agree with you. You're a very intelligent guy, and I see validity in most of the points you make. Today was just an off day I guess.

If the angels don't pony up, I think Teix will sign with the Oreo's.
Which, eh, they're assembling talent for sure but they're in no position to knock off the rest of that division.

The 2 guys i want most in the offseason: Tex and CC. I couldn't care less about manny. I mean, he'd be awesome to have. But we're seeing with Posada that you have to be careful with old guys who want long contracts. I think CC should be priority #1, and then Tex #2.

I have a hunch the Angels will do what they can to keep Tex in LA. They gave up a lot of talent for a 3 month rental.
Manny seems very content in LA. The Dodgers have the payroll flexibility to afford his demands, at least for a while.

The Angels will clear $11 mil when Garrett Anderson and Darren Oliver leave which will help them try and get Teixeira. Question for the Angels is what to do with Vlad and Lackey after the '09 season?

I am sure JP Bacardi will make some sort of offer to Manny if the Yanks don't.
He'll be in the AL, or stay in LA.
