Joba gave up a single to Marlon Byrd in the 5th inning, and grabbed his right shoulder. The trainer came out and instantly took him out of the game.
If Joba goes on the DL, the Yankees will not make the playoffs. This is just horrible.
**** my life
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
Joba training to be a starter and being a starter the whole season looks better now right? Its harder to go from relief to starting. I hope he bounces back and is nothing serious because the Yankees need him.
Come on now LTR, that is a silly statement.
The Yankees say it's just a stiff shoulder, but to be honest, I'm not so sure. Hopefully I'm just being cynical, but we'll have to wait for the tests today and see...
We'll see, it was an awful night capped by ANOTHER blown call that cost us. we had that DP in the 5th but somehow they reversed the call and then instead of no one on and 2 out it was 2 on and 0 out and they hit the 3 run HR to take the lead.
That call was pretty bogus, junc.
I don't know how that ump called it. Plus I didn't really see the ball change directions at all. It was funny to watch Joba on that play. He almost got nailed.
Just heard on ESPN radio that Joba was sent back to New York for tests, but Girardi does not think that it is too serious.

Looks like he will 100% miss his next start, but it says he will probably be ok. He might go on the DL though, which could be bad.
The call was ridiculous and in a long line of awful calls against us in recent weeks. They called it right the first time, what made them change it? We still could have won but I don't think we lose that game if the original call stayed.
