    Congrats to Arod

Arod is now the youngest to hit 400 homers and it couldn't have come at a better time. Arod crushed two homers to help the Yanks win a game and actually gain a game on the O's. Torre and Tino lit a fire and this team showed some passion. Again congrats.

Good job A-Rod. Continues to pad his stats against terrible teams and s**t his pants when it really matters. Exempli gratia, 2004 ALCS.

I just hope he doesn't suffer the same cruel fate as Griffey w/ all his injuries.

Yeah, definitely. They do seem alike, don't they?

Knew this was coming from someone. They won the game last night, right? The glass isn't always half-empty, General.

Well, someone's gotta contribute some pessimism.

I dont know A-rod was very good until the last 4 games of the ALCS. And he has been very good against boston so far this year. I think the whole clutch thing is a bit overrated. However he hasn proved enough to anyone in that category.

Just to expound on that, here are ARod's postseason #s:

-'95 he was just called up and barely played during Sea's run to the ALCS.

-'97 ALDS hit .312 w/ 1 HR and an RBI(I believe he was batting in the 2hole so RBI chances were limited) in 4 game loss in ALDS to Bal.

-'00 ALDS hit .308 w/ 2 RBI in 3 game sweep of Chi.

-'00 ALCS hit .409 w/ 2 HRs and 5 RBI in 6 game loss to Yanks.

    -'04 ALDS hit .421 w/ 1 HR and 3 RBI against Min.

    -'04 ALCS hit .258 w/ 2 HR & 5 RBI.

The only series he struggled in was the ALCS against Boston and the entire team collapsed and couldn't hit not just ARod.

    Overall:

    4 LDS(12 games): .347, 2 HRs, 6 RBI
    3 LCS(14 games): .315, 4 HRs, 10 RBI

    All series(26 games): .330, 6 HR, 16 RBI

Good research. It's the sign of dysfunction when a team ascribes the worst qualities to its best players and the best qualities to its worst.

Good Work, nyjunc. Rep++ for you.

A-Rod hasn't had a curtain-call moment in the playoffs, so people assume has hasn't done anything.

Gee, thanks for picking up for joek in his absence.

Also, He did not have a great ALCS but he was decent as anyone in the first 3 games that we won. The entire team collasped as stated.
