Yankees No Arod in Homerun Derby

Alex Rodriguez told the New York Daily News that he intends to skip the Home Run Derby again this year.
He's not any good at it anyway. A-Rod has taken place in three home run derbies, the most recent in 2002, and never made it out of the first round.
Arod says it tampers with his swing so I am all for him skipping it. Like it says, he's not any good so why try and win fans in July? Win Yankee fans over by producing in October for a change. Let Giambi screw up his swing.

Because it is in NEW YORK...I can't imagine it would mess up his swing that much. After all, he is a PROFESSIONAL BASEBALL PLAYER. How can one day mess up your swing. Dumb.

Two words-Bobby Abreu! Players have always said it messes up their swing. People tried to give Bonds shit last year for not participating but he had more pressing matters such as breaking Aaron's record. Arod has more pressing matters like getting the Yankees into the playoffs and staying healthy!!
