Well I'd ask you to question the fact that, perhaps the Yankees are being a bit cautious with their most prized prospect?

I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.
Ah, give me something clever to say here.
They don't need him that bad, his ERA is about 100

Quoted from James Quintong's "Top Five":
Next Yankees to hit the DL
1. Mike Mussina: Beware hand cramps after an extra difficult New York Times crossword puzzle.
2. Joba Chamberlain: Those midges from Cleveland last year return with a vengeance!
3. Ian Kennedy: Being confused with WWE wrestler Mr. Kennedy could result in an unfortunate incident with a steel chair.
4. Mariano Rivera: Both Jorge Posada and A-Rod signed big deals this winter and are now on the DL. Coincidence? Won't be if Mo also goes down.
5. Carl Pavano: Oh, wait. Never mind.
And another one's gone, another one's gone, another one bites the dust. The Yankees will place Jonathan Albaladejo on the disabled list due to an elbow injury.
Chris Britton, who was sent down tonight to make room for Kei Igawa, will be brought right back to the majors. The drop in Albaladejo's velocity was obvious, so this comes as no surprise at all. Albaladejo said his elbow felt like there was a needle going into it followed by a burning sensation. He's scheduled for an MRI.
You can't expect professional athletes to be as tough as you. Everyone deals w/ injuries differently, we don't know the exact injury he has and why it has affected him, he was opbviously pitching w/ it so to question his toughness is a little silly. You can question whether he is injury prone or not but questioning his toughness while he did pitch w/ his latest injuries doesn't add up.
Do you think all these injuries are hurting the yanks or could everyone be playing better as a whole?
Well, clearly the injuries hurt. You can't argue that the team is better without Posada, Hughes, A-rod, Albaladejo, etc. But, you can say that the lack of production is as significant a problem. I think it's a combination at this point, but the bats will need to really come alive at some point.
Yankees get Arod back and Jeter leaves the game after being hit on the hand.
The injuries aren't really an excuse, we still had enough good offensive players to score runs but we didn't get it done and now the pitching is heading south.
