Arod Joins Posada

Alex Rodriguez is being placed on the 15-day DL because of his Grade 2 quad strain, YES reports.
Losing Rodriguez and Jorge Posada in a two-day span really hurts, but at least it's still early on. The Yankees will go with Morgan Ensberg and Alberto Gonzalez at third base for next couple of weeks.

Hard times for the Yankees! Hopefully he won't be out too long but the injury bug has bitten this team hard.

It's not a huge deal, it's for the short term. If these were long term injuries I'd be worried but we still have enough offense to win especially since, for the most part, our pitching has been pretty good of late.

I said the pitching has been pretty good of late. Obviously not every pitcher is pitching well but for the most part our starters and pen have done a good job. It's been the bats that have hurt us as they have been in Ocotber form- recent October form.

I heard on the news the A-Rod hasn't been on the D.L. since the year 2000. Wow that is both an accomphlish for Posada and A-Rod to be off the D.L. for such long periods of time and in Posada's case his whole career up to this point.

It's pretty incredible that a Catcher made it this long into his career w/o a DL trip.
